Jon Kimball, KL2A
Jon was born and raised in (KL7) Alaska. His Grandfather (W7JXY, W6RST) taught him the Morse code at age 7 and Jon was licensed at 13. At 14, he walked into a Northwest DX Convention in Seattle where he puts it: "I met many of the major players in Zone 3, and was hooked, not to miss a major contest until my 30s!"
Jon is raising 5 children in W7 between Utah and Idaho, enjoying the many Winter Ski resorts, the recreation of northern lakes and fishing streams, and running the endless trails of summer. Jon enjoys spending his time with his children developing various lifelong passions and skills, including, Morse Code.
