First licensed in 1979 as J28CE, which was a good beginning to learn how to handle CW pileups!
Back home to France in 1980, got the call F6GXB and discovered chasing DX and contesting.
Managed DXCC Honor Roll Mixed within the first 4 years: no DX
Clusters and no FT8 so I don’t even know how we survived (good old Solar Cycle 21!).
In 1986, I changed my call to F2CW. I was also fortunate to be able to travel to few exotic places for work and leisure for over 30 years and operated for most places (see my QRZ.COM page).
Main interests are DXing and Contesting in any mode (including FT8). I have been to 5 WRTC.
Member of HSC, VHSC, SHSC, A1OP, CWT, FOC
Current calls: ZL3CW, ZL1A, ZL1FOC, ZM1A & ZL1XX (Auckland Contest Club)
