Ken Tanuma, JN1THL

I was first licensed when I was a middle school student in 1962 as JA8CDG.
My call was changed when I moved to Tokyo and became JN1THL.

I am a member of CWOPS and Director as #161 , ex Vice President of IARV - International Amateur Radio Volunteers.
During travel with IARV I assisted in establishing communications infrastructure in XU, XW, XZ, BV, VU, E4, 7O, EP, YA, 5T, TZ and J5.

Previous DXpeditions include XU7DK, XY1HT, XY1U, S21ZE, ZC6/JA8CDG (Palestine), HS0XPO, KL7/JA8CDG, A71A,
J79KT , J79JA, 3B9DX, 9N7KT , C82DX and KH1/KH7Z Baker Island.
I was the first in the world to operate the XY1HT and S21ZE in operations with the AO-10 and AO-13 satellites.

After that I could have nice opportunities taking part in VP6A , E51D, CB0ZEW , FS/W6IZT and PJ7/W6IZT remote operation.

I am active on all HF bands especially CW and RTTY contest and enjoys my yearly visit to the Dayton Hamvention to meet many friends.
